Commemorative Edition: Cetic.br 20 Years
Deadline for submitting proposals closed on 15/08
The Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br|NIC.br) invites researchers and professionals from academia, the government, the private sector, the civil society, and from national and international organizations to submit article proposals for the following publications:
• ICT Households 2024 (https://cetic.br/en/pesquisa/domicilios/): Survey on the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Brazilian Households, carried out among the general population
• ICT in Education 2024 (https://cetic.br/en/pesquisa/educacao/): Survey on the use of information and communication technologies in Brazilian schools, carried out among students, teachers, director of studies, and school principals from the Basic Education
• ICT Kids Online Brazil 2024 (https://cetic.br/en/pesquisa/kids-online/): Survey on internet use by children and adolescents in Brazil, carried out among the population between 9 and 17 years old
• ICT Enterprises 2024 (https://www.cetic.br/en/pesquisa/empresas/): Survey on the use of information and communication technologies in small, medium, and large Brazilian companies.
• ICT in Culture 2024 (https://www.cetic.br/en/pesquisa/cultura/): Survey on the presence and adoption of information and communication technologies in Brazilian cultural institutions, both in their internal operational routines and in their relationship with their audiences.
Besides the data analysis and methodological reports for the surveys conducted by Cetic.br|NIC.br in 2024, these publications will contain a section with selected papers, to be published in English and in Portuguese, both in print and online formats.
The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended. Authors must submit an expanded abstract of 800 to 1,000 words by August 15, 2024, indicating one or more of the suggested thematic lines below.
Articles may be submitted in either English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
Submitted proposals will be assessed by Cetic.br|NIC.br’s editorial team, and the authors of the accepted proposals must submit the full article (up to 3,000 words) by October 1, 2024.
IMPORTANT DATES

• October 1, 2024: deadline for submission of the full article
SUGGESTED THEMES
In celebration of Cetic.br's 20th anniversary, we suggest that authors focus on approaches based on the historical data series produced by the Center.

Abstract submission guidelines
• Title: up to 80 characters
• Text length: between 800 and 1,000 words, excluding references (mandatory; in APA style)
• File format: editable text (.docx, .doc, or .odt)
• Formatting: Arial font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing
• Short bio: up to 150 words
Full article submission guidelines
• Text length: up to 3,000 words
• Formatting: based on the template to be sent to the selected authors
