In this sense, the study has the following specific objectives:
- Diagnose the operational status of already implemented telecenters;
- Identify critical factors for the effective operation of a telecenter;
- Evaluate the contribution of telecenters to promoting digital inclusion in their respective communities.

The data collected in the ICT Public Access Center survey aims to contribute to the formulation of public policies in the area of digital inclusion, in order to generate input for public managers, academia, and civil society organizations.
Who supports the conduct of the research?
The research has the institutional support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).

These benefits may be: computers (new or refurbished), internet connection, or grants for hiring and training monitors, among others.
How will the survey be conducted?
There are two stages of the survey:
-
The first is aimed at updating the registry of federal government telecenters. In this stage, the phone contacts of the telecenters will be confirmed;
-
The second is a sampling stage that will select telecenters to participate in a telephone interview with a structured script. Only one respondent is sought, who should be familiar with the telecenter's activities.
-
What happens to the information I give to the interviewer?
The answers from each interviewee will always be grouped with those of all other survey participants, who also answer the same questions. The respondent and the institution they represent will never be identified.
