What is the objective of the survey?
To produce indicators and statistics that allow understanding the adoption of information and communication technologies (ICT) among nonprofit organizations, such as NGOs, associations, foundations, and religious organizations, in Brazil. It also aims to investigate the impacts of ICT on the work and the relationship between these organizations and their communities of operation.
What is the importance of the survey?
Data collected in the ICT Nonprofit Organizations survey will contribute to policies related to technologies in civil society institutions. The study results will provide important inputs for the development of actions to expand access, use, and appropriation of ICT by nonprofit organizations in the country.
Who supports conducting the survey?
The survey is supported by a group of experts composed of members from various sectors of the government, civil society, and academia.
Who is the target audience of the survey?
They are non-profit organizations, such as NGOs, associations, foundations, and religious organizations in Brazil.
How will the survey be conducted?
The interviews will be conducted by Ipsos-Ipec, which is the research institute responsible for data collection.
The interviews will be conducted by phone with each selected organization through a structured questionnaire, developed to understand the profile of the organizations, their presence on the Internet, access to ICT, and the use of these technologies in their internal operational routine and in their relationship with their communities of action.
What happens to the information I give to the interviewer?
The responses of each interviewee will always be grouped with those of all other survey participants, who also answer the same questions. The respondent and the organization they represent will never be identified.
What is Cetic.br?
The Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br) is responsible for producing indicators about the Internet in Brazil, which are reference points for the development of public policies on technologies such as computers, the Internet, and mobile devices. Cetic.br is a department of the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br), which is linked to the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) and acts as a Regional Center under the auspices of Unesco for Latin America and the Portuguese-Speaking African Countries (Palop).
